Customer Hub - BNPL Mobile-First Platform

Developed a prototype for a UK-based startup to help them showcase their concept to a major tech brand as part of a contract pitch.

Overview

The rise of “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) services like Klarna and Affirm has transformed eCommerce. However, users are often restricted to individual brand partnerships or siloed ecosystems.

Challenge

Customer Hub was envisioned as a mobile-first BNPL aggregator, allowing users to browse products from multiple e-commerce platforms within one app and pay using a flexible, installment-based model. Our goal: create an experience that's intuitive, trustworthy, and scalable.

Design

Key UX Objectives:

  • Simple and frictionless shopping experience , clear and transparent.

  • Easy tracking of purchases and payments, Trust-building UI elements (e.g., upfront costs, due dates)

 

Visual Style:

  • Clean, minimal, and mobile-first, Soft fintech color palette (light blues and soft grays), Friendly typography (e.g., Inter, SF Pro, or Rubik)

  • Micro-interactions to build user trust and delight

Interactive Flows to Prototype:

  • Tap through: Browse → Add to Cart → Select Installment Plan → Pay

  • Micro-interactions for tooltips and info popups

  • Alerts for due payments, approval messages

 

Tools for Prototyping:

  • Figma (Prototyping + Smart Animations)

  • Framer (for a more dynamic feel)
